I've noticed recently that, while running MyInfo Pro 4.02 on my IBM Thinkpad laptop, the CPU temperature skyrockets from its normal 53-58 C to a worrisome 80 C.

Opening the Windows Task Manager, I note that MyInfo accounts for 97 to 99% of CPU activity, regardless of whether it is maximized or minimized, or whether I'm actively entering data or it's just idly sitting open.

By contrast, I can leave Word, Firefox, ECCO, and OneNote open all at once, and the temperature remains stable in the mid-50s, and CPU activity will be minimal, except while I'm actually working in the program.

Any idea what's going on, or how to deal with this issue? I depend on MyInfo for many critical uses, but certainly don't want to fry my laptop.

Bob, we had this problem in some of the early builds of MyInfo 4.02. Could you download MyInfo 4.02 and reinstall it to see if the problem disappears?

If this does not help, you can temporary turn off the Spell Check As You Type options in Tools > Options > Spelling, and let us know. We will investigate the problem.

Thank you, Petko- I'll try both these suggestions and let you know what happens.

Installing version 4.02c seems to fix the problem. Apparently I overlooked the update.

Thanks for the prompt assistance, Petko!
