Our forums are an excellent place for new ideas, suggestions and improvements over existing MyInfo features. However, with so many suggestions lately, it is difficult for us to keep track of everything and to decide which are the most desired features from our customers.

That’s why we have added special suggestions page, where you could vote for your favorite new features. We have added some of the ideas we received from you, but if you can’t find your idea in the list, feel free to add it. Even if it is something little like changing the name of a menu command, this could help us improve MyInfo!

Why not start voting for new features now?

Although MyInfo 3 could be installed on a USB flash drive, it works far from perfect. It could not store user settings back to the flash drive and in general it is not designed for such a purpose.

In MyInfo 4, we have paid a special attention to the ability of the application to run on a USB drive. Now, all user settings are stored back on the USB drive. Even little things as your personal spelling dictionary are remembered between the different host computers. There will be separate install package of MyInfo, especially designed for portable installation.

The pros of using MyInfo (or any other application) on a thumb drive is that you can always have your favorite application and all your data with you. In addition, the backup of such installation is extremely easy, because all files that you have to backup are stored in a single computer folder.

MyInfo tree columns are a unique feature that sets apart MyInfo from its competitors. It is a powerful tool for adding meta data to your documents.

In MyInfo 4 tree columns will be more convenient to use, then ever before! The new version will feature the new Document Attributes pane, where you will have instant access to all tree columns (even the hidden one). Now you will need no longer to have all custom tree columns visible in the tree, if you use them for only a few documents in the topic, because you will be able to view and edit their values in the Document Attributes pane instead in the tree.

The new Document attributes pane will offer you a feature that was not possible in the MyInfo 3: now you will be able to set an attribute value for multiple selected documents, thus making the categorization of documents faster!

In conclusion, MyInfo 4 will offer the most powerful meta data capabilities, which aren’t available in any other PIM on the market! It will be the only PIM to offer both editable tree columns and document attributes in a attributes pane.
